Governor Noem announced today that all schools in SD will be closed for one more week, March 23-27. Our District is working on flexible and online learning opportunities for our students. This step is being taken in order to stay ahead of the spread of the coronavirus.

Due to the COVID-19 concern and the importance of social distancing at this time, our BHS Jr./Sr. Prom that was scheduled for Saturday, March 28 has been postponed. A new date has yet to be set.

While school is closed due to COVID-19, the Beresford School is working directly with families in need to secure food to feed their child(ren). If you are looking to assist, please consider a financial contribution.


After considering all aspects of the COVID-19 situation, Governor Kristi Noem is recommending that all schools in SD be closed next week, March 16-20. This step is being taken in order to stay ahead of the spread of the coronavirus. As a result, there will be NO SCHOOL next week!

We understand that the coronavirus is creating anxiety and concern. Our top priority continues to be the health and well-being of our students, staff, and patrons of our District. Our District is taking additional precautions to clean, disinfect, and sanitize our schools.

Did you know? For the 19-20 school year, 82% of our seniors earned a silver, gold, or platinum National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC), compared to the state average of 70.6%. The assessment includes applied math, graphic literacy, and workplace documents.
