Congratulations to Mr. Robert Frieberg, who will be inducted into the Watchdog Hall of Fame Class of 2020—Distinguished Service! Mr. Frieberg is a 1953 graduate of BHS and has been actively involved in the Beresford community, school district, & their development over the years.
On Thursday, April 30, our Elementary School will be conducting another distribution of learning materials from 12-1 and 5-6 at the Commons. Not all of the grade levels will be distributing materials. Homeroom facilitators will be reaching out to you with grade level information.

Congratulations to Mr. Keith Larson, who will be inducted into the Watchdog Hall of Fame Class of 2020—Athletics! Mr. Larson is a 1981 graduate of BHS. One of the greatest athletes at BHS, he earned numerous accolades in FB and BB. In 1980, he was named SD’s Athlete of the Year.
Congratulations to Mr. Jim Babb, who will be inducted into the Watchdog Hall of Fame Class of 2020—Athletics! Mr. Babb spent 30+ years teaching math/computers, serving as tech coordinator, and coaching under Hall of Fame head FB coach Jim Heeren and head BBB coach Jim Sorensen.
Congratulations to Mrs. Jane Carlson, who will be inducted into the Watchdog Hall of Fame Class of 2020—Fine Arts! Mrs. Carlson is a 1972 graduate of BHS. She has dedicated her life to teaching and directing productions and has been the heart and soul of the Beresford Area Arts.
Congratulations to Dr. Tom Van Lent, who will be inducted into the Watchdog Hall of Fame Class of 2020—Academics/Achievement! Dr. Van Lent is a 1976 graduate of BHS. He is currently the Vice-President of Science and Education at the Everglades Foundation in Florida.
Congratulations to Dr. Brenda Sternquist, who will be inducted into the Watchdog Hall of Fame Class of 2020--Academics/Achievement! Dr. Sternquist is a 1969 graduate of BHS. She has spent her entire career at Michigan State University and is currently a professor of marketing.

Our school will join “Let It Shine SD” on May 1 at 9:30 p.m. by lighting up our stadium! Its purpose is to show support for our healthcare workers, spread hope to those who are sick, businesses who are hurting, and people who have lost their jobs. We invite everyone to join us!
Congratulations to our BHS HOSA Chapter for earning a "recognition award" for the largest increase in membership in SD! Junior Laura Bogue earned a 3rd place medal in Nutritional Sciences Knowledge. Junior Emelye Josko earned a 3rd place medal in Medical Assisting!
