Take a look at tonight's setlist for the BMS/BHS Sounds of the Season concert. In addition to our 6-12 choirs, the 6th-grade band will perform. The show starts at 7:00 p.m.

We are proud Watchdogs today! Congratulations to BHS Marching Band who ended their season with another 1st place finish AND top score of the entire competition at the Sioux Valley Marching Festival! The Marching Watchdogs have earned 1st place at every competition this year, along with a few other awards along the way.

Congratulations also to Beresford Cross Country for an amazing Region 3A meet in Parkston. State Qualifiers are Ella Merriman (6th), Molly O'Neil (12th), Lillie Boden (19th), Josh Merriman (7th), Hunter Penn (10th), Noah Halvorson (12th), Eli Schaap (18th), and Oliver Merriman (20th). Congrats to JV boys for 1st place as a team and JV medalists Caleb Hansen (2nd), Marcus Aasheim (3rd), Paxton Peterson (5th), and Brock Koth (6th).

The Beresford Board of Education recognized Ella Merriman, Mason Hofer, and Lucas Anderson for their efforts as proud Watchdog students. Ella Merriman was recently named a National Merit Scholar Semifinalist. Mason Hofer and Lucas Anderson represented Watchdog Nation well at the State Golf Meet last week. They both tied for 53rd place. Congratulations to all!

Happy Fire Prevention Week! Our brilliant lunch staff organized a fun way to raise some fire prevention awareness with our local heroes of the Beresford Volunteer Fire Department! Thank you firefighters for volunteering your time to serve lunch for our entire district! Our community is better because of your appreciated efforts!

Each month, Beresford Middle School staff nominate students to earn a Student of the Month recognition. Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student is eligible provided the student is nominated by a staff member based on consistent, meaningful, and intentional behaviors that align with DAWGS Expectations. Congratulations to the following August/September Student of the Month recipients: (left to right in the picture) Garrison Zweifel, Carilee Andrews, Creed Ostrem, Jacek Cottrell, Bethany Hoffman, and Sherlyn Torres Cano! Also, thank you to Sgt. Bullis for presenting our recipients with a certificate on behalf of the Beresford Police Department.

The Watchdog Softball team will be doing the tailgate tomorrow night before the Football game against Dakota Valley. They will start serving food at 5:00 PM. Once the food settles, try out your luck at the Fastball Challenge!

Today, the boys' golf team competed in the Region 2A golf tournament, and junior Lucas Anderson (23rd) & freshman Mason Hofer (24th) both made the top 25 to compete in the state tournament next Monday & Tuesday, which will also be held in Vermillion at the Bluffs. Congratulations to all the varsity players on a great season, and good luck to Lucas & Mason next week in Vermillion. Brad Muller coaches the Watchdogs.
