Good luck to our Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys Golfers as they compete in the Big East Tourney on Friday at the Lakes Golf Course near Lake Madison! The following golfers will be competing: Coral Bates, Maiya Muller, Jack Bickett, Payton Borah, Conner Thaler, and Gavin Bautista.

4th and 5th grade Leadership Academy members are visiting the SD Air National Guard this morning.

Due to the rain, the Beresford Lions Club Track and Field Meet for today (Tuesday, April 30) has been cancelled. At this time, there is no makeup date.

Congratulations to Cali and Aubrey Boden on their performances today in the shot put and discus at Yankton! They went #2 and #3 in the shot. Cali was 2nd in the discus. Cali set PR’s in both events!


Congratulations to Nico Sanz Curros and Matthew Hoffman who went #1 and #2 in the 1600 meter run at the First Dakota Relays in Yankton! It was a photo finish!


Congratulations to the boys 4x800 relay team on placing 1st at the First Dakota Relays in Yankton. They ran a state qualifying time of 8:32.05!


Congrats to BHS senior Alec Atwood who has been nominated as 1 of 3 finalists for the Play of the Year. He is also a finalist for the boys cross country athlete of the year. The Argus Leader Sports Awards will be held on May 10 at the Pentagon. https://tinyurl.com/yxhrotvh


The BHS Marching Band is on their way to the Virginia International Music Festival--Parade of Nations Tour in Norfolk, VA. The band left this morning in two charter buses and will return home on Monday afternoon, April 29. Good luck!!

Belated congratulations to the BHS Watchdog Girls and Boys Track and Field Teams on their first place finish at the 13-team Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Invite held on April 16! Good luck at the Yankton Invite on Thursday, April 25!

The Beresford High School FFA Chapter received 1st place in the National FFA Chapter Award in Growing Leaders and Strengthening Agriculture. They received 3rd place in Building Communities and 2nd place overall at State! Congratulations on an outstanding year!

Congratulations to Trevor Johnson on winning the State Livestock Judging, State Ag Mechanics, and State Fabrication Proficiency Contests at the State FFA Convention! Trevor also placed 2nd in Diversified Ag, 3rd in Forage Production, and 3rd in Beef Placement!

Due to the freezing rain, wind gusts that are predicted, and road conditions, there will be no school in the District today, Thursday, April 11. All school activities and practices for today have been cancelled.

Congratulations to Ty Regehr and Casey Klungseth who placed third at the "Battle of the Bots" at USD! Their task was to program a robot to accomplish a maze that changes. Casey is a senior and Ty is a sophomore at BHS. Both are active members of Watchdog Robotics.
