The Beresford School District, Watchdog Foundation, Beresford Area Arts, and Beresford Athletic Booster Club are proud to announce Shelly Kennedy for induction into our Watchdog Hall of Fame. Shelly Kennedy is a 1978 Beresford High School graduate.  Shelly is one of the best female athletes in the history of Beresford HS, participating in basketball and track and field.  Shelly is the current school record holder in the 100-meter dash (12.3) and long jump (17’ 3 3/4”), dating back to 1976.  She was also a starting guard on the 1977 BHS girls’ basketball team that placed 3rd in the 1977 State “B” Tourney in Huron.  It was only the third year that BHS had a girls’ basketball team.  Her head coach was Mr. Ed Evenson. Join us Saturday, September 17, 2022, to learn more about Shelly’s journey into the Watchdog Hall of Fame. Shelly Kennedy will be inducted under the Athletics pillar. 

Please save the date for our fifth Watchdog Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Our Hall of Fame event will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the Bridges of Beresford.
