Program

On Thursday, November 11, 2021, the Beresford School District, in conjunction with the Beresford VFW and Beresford American Legion, had our Veterans Day program at 2:00 p.m. Past Department Commander Donald A. Dahlin served as the Master of Ceremonies for the program. Before the program, the Beresford High School National Honor Society provided a soup and pie luncheon to veterans and their families.

Our kindergartner learners led the crowd through the Pledge of Allegiance during the honor program, and our high school choir performed the National Anthem and "God Bless America." Band students performed "Salute to Freedom," "This is My Country," and the Armed Forces Medley. Mason Heiberger and Sarah Ebert performed Taps before the colors were retired.

Dr. Marilyn Carlson-Aronson provided the keynote address. During her message, she shared information about local Beresford veterans who served during the Vietnam conflict. More so, Dr. Carlson-Aronson noted the importance of Veterans Day and how those who served our country set the stage for the freedom and liberties we have today.

After the program, the Beresford Auxiliaries enjoyed coffee and cookies in the multi-purpose room.
