We are excited to host you at Kindergarten Round up on April 9th. Round-up will be a special time for parents and their incoming Kindergarten child. The Kindergarten teachers will meet with the kids in their rooms, and parents will attend a meeting in the Elementary Commons.
Please bring your child’s certified birth certificate (not a hospital certificate) and immunization records (only if your immunizations are complete for kindergarten). We will discuss how BES provides a Junior Kindergarten program for select children who have turned five before September 1st. Junior Kindergarten is an opportunity for children to become “school-ready.”

Kindergarten Screening
On April 24, we will screen all eligible children in JK or K next year. This screening will take approximately 30 minutes/learner. It will take 25 minutes to test, leaving the last 5 minutes for the teacher to talk with you. We ask that you enter the Beresford Public Library Main Entrance (115 S 3rd St) and wait until one of our teachers comes to get your learner. You may stay at the library or leave and return when the screening is done.
We will use the screening results to appropriately place learners. It’s an opportunity for us to learn about your child as a learner. Your child must be screened. During Round-up we will explain how to sign up.
If your learner is CURRENTLY in Junior Kindergarten, they do not need to attend Kindergarten Round-up or Screening.
