During the July meeting, we said goodbye to Mrs. Ashley Sharpe. Mrs. Sharpe served the Beresford School District's Board of Education (BSD BOE) for five years. In addition to saying goodbye, the board extended its gratitude to Mrs. Sharpe for her service to the district and community. Mrs. Sharpe served on our policy committee and as an alternate for the Associated School Boards of South Dakota Delegate Assembly. In addition to serving on the board of education, Mrs. Sharpe served others through her efforts on the Beresford Area Booster Club.
During the new business portion of the July meeting, the BSD BOE appointed Mrs. Deborah Bergland for the 2025-2026 school year. This will be Mrs. Bergland’s 20th year serving on the board. She will take her Oath of Office on August 11, 2025.
