The Beresford School District, Watchdog Foundation, Beresford Area Arts, and Beresford Athletic Booster Club are proud to announce Dr. Kristin Olbertson for induction into our Watchdog Hall of Fame. Dr. Olbertson will be inducted under the Academics & Achievement pillar. 

Kristin Olbertson graduated from Beresford High School in 1990 as a National Merit Scholar and Presidential Scholar in the Arts. As a Carleton College student, she spent a semester studying at Oxford University. After a year at the University of Edinburgh, she returned to the States to complete a JD and a PhD at the University of Michigan. For the last nineteen years, she has taught history and advised pre-law students at Alma College in Alma, Michigan. In 2022, she published her first book, “The Dreadful Word.”

Please save the date for our eighth Watchdog Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Our Hall of Fame event will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Bridges of Beresford.
