The Roger Price Memorial Student Loan Fund has been providing financial assistance for Beresford graduates to pursue higher education degrees for over 50 years. The fund offers both student loans and scholarships to Beresford graduates.  There were eleven (11) Beresford graduates in the Class of 2025 who qualified for the $500 Opportunity Roger Price Scholarship, based on the same factors used for the South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship. This $500 scholarship may be used at any university or tech school (in-state or out of state).

In addition, the Roger Price fund provides one $1,000 scholarship to each higher education institute in South Dakota. This fund is called the South Dakota Roger Price Scholarship. In case of multiple members of the BHS Class of 2025 attending the same SD higher education institution, the Roger Price Board of Directors will determine which students receive the scholarship at their annual meeting in August.  The deadline for the application is July 31, 2025.

The primary function of the Roger Price Fund is to provide competitively priced loans for the purpose of higher education to all Beresford graduates.  Applications for the loans are available at Friedberg's Law Office in Beresford and are accepted throughout the summer. Loans may be made for up to $4,000 per year ($2,000 per semester) with a lifetime maximum of $16,000 per applicant. These loans are available to any Beresford graduate, any time he or she may decide to complete any form of higher education.
