EC Screening

Developmental screening is used to quickly identify a child's progress through foundational early childhood milestones.

Screening staff, together with parents or caregivers, will briefly assess how a child learns, speaks, moves, behaves, and relates when compared to other children of the same age. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to screening if they have any concerns about their child’s development. Children who are receiving birth to three services, early childhood services (including speech only), early head start, or head start, are already being monitored for developmental milestones and do not need to participate.

Hearing and basic health/vision screening may also be available.

  • Developmental screening is available for children ages 3-5.
  • Screening for children aged birth to 36 months available upon request
  • Appointments needed prior to the screening date --> Call Now for An Appointment (605-763-5012).
