Congratulations to the Beresford Cross Country Teams on a great performance at the Beresford Invite on Friday, August 24! Twenty-six teams and 527 runners completed their 5K, 4K, and 3K courses.
In the Varsity Girls division, there were 71 runners. Beresford placed 4th as a team behind Luverne, Sioux Falls Christian, and Lennox. Beresford’s Varsity Girls were led by medalists, freshman Anna Atwood who placed 13th and junior Jaycee Fischer, 14th.
In the Varsity Boys division, there were 81 runners. Beresford placed 1st as a team, followed by Sioux Falls Christian, Lennox, and Luverne. Beresford’s Varsity Boys were led by medalists, senior Alec Atwood who placed 1st, senior Dallas Davis, 9th; and sophomore Nico Sanz Curros, 18th.
In the JV Girls division, there were 80 runners. Beresford’s JV Girls Team placed 5th.
In the JV Boys division, there were 123 runners. Beresford’s JV Boys Team placed 3rd behind Sioux Falls Christian and Sioux Falls Lincoln. Beresford’s JV Boys were led by medalists, sophomore Cody Klungseth who placed 7th and freshman Tommy Cordell, 19th.
In the Junior High Girls division, there were 90 runners. Beresford’s Junior High Girls Team placed 5th.
In the Junior High Boys division, there were 82 runners. Beresford’s Junior High Boys Team placed 2nd behind Sioux Falls Christian. Beresford’s Junior High Boys were led by medalists, 7th grader Andrew Atwood who placed 2nd and 7th grader Scott Ridley, 9th.
